Coalition of Immokalee Workers Wins Agreement with McDonald’s

The Missionary Oblates are shareholders of Mc Donald’s and have supported efforts by the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), an AFL-CIO affilliate, to gain better pay and working conditions. After fighting for more than two years for better wages from fast-food giant McDonald’s to workers picking tomatoes for the corporation’s burgers, the workers scored a victory.
