Europe
Since its founding by St Eugene DeMazenod, the presence of the Oblate congregation has grown steadily throughout Europe and has generated missionary efforts throughout the world. Recent new missions in Europe include The Ukraine, Romania and Belarus.
JPIC efforts of the European Oblates include active support and participation in the Africa-Europe Faith & Justice Network (AEFJN) and a sustained effort to address the challenges posed by immigration in different countries. Climate change and other ecological issues are an increasing priority. Through work with other members and associates of VIVAT International, Oblates collaborate with other religious at the local and national levels.
