Poscript: 2026 Season of Creation

October 29th, 2026

The Season of Creation has ended but here is an additional reflection that carries the message and is an invitation that the care for creation continues.

A HUGE thank you to Maurice Lange for sharing these spiritually enriching reflections with us.

“I was blessed through friendship with Fr. Larry Rosebaugh, OMI. Lorenzo was prophet, oddball and martyr.” – Maurice Lange

(Reflection by Maurice Lange, Justice & Peace Director at Presentation Sisters & founder of the Oblate Ecological Initiative)

“They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks” — (Isaiah 2:4)

REFLECTION: “We will move…” Remember a time when you moved. Moving is rarely easy: it involves sorting, packing…and letting go. Pope Leo has called us throughout his Message to be “collaborators in God’s work of renewal”. Renewal requires movement, thus a letting go. A releasing of former perceptions, habits, understandings – so that the new in “renewal” may emerge.
During this very recent Season of Creation: where did you move from and to?

ACTION: This Season of Creation has been completed, and, our work continues.
> What swords and which spears within our own perspectives need ongoing transformation into that which is lifegiving?
> Why not become the change you wish to see in the world?
> Your moving on animates others in ways you’ll never know.
>Your walking courageously along such a path of renewal fosters Christ’s peace becoming more evident in all of Creation.

“We lack an awareness of our common origin, of our mutual belonging, and of a future to be shared with everyone… A great cultural, spiritual and educational challenge stands before us, and it will demand that we set out on the long path of renewal.” (Laudato Si #202)
