Zimbabwe
The Oblate missions in Zimbabwe are located in Bulawayo, the country’s second largest city and St. Luke’s Mission, outside Bulawayo. The focus of Oblate work is pastoral care and youth ministry. In partnership with the Bulawayo diocese, the Oblates have programs for justice and peace and civic education. Zimbabwe has been experiencing a political and economic crisis that has made it difficult for many Zimbabweans to obtain basic necessities. Risking their own safety, Oblates stand in solidarity with Zimbabweans as they face an oppressive regime in hopes for democratic governance.
