Kenya
The Oblates from the Canadian region opened missions in Kenya in 1997. Today they enjoy an expanding missionary presence with Oblates from Canada, Australia, Poland and the DRC forming part of the missionary team.
Oblates run parish churches, primary schools, and support a number of development and training projects: a women’s bakery project, a woodwork workshop and a community water project.
In response to the AIDS pandemic, the congregation has set up an HIV/AIDS volunteer-run counseling and testing center in their ministry site in the diocese of Meru.
